SCHOOLS OUT! This is a picture of a broken water main on Bayview Avenue in front of Crescent School, the Granite Club and the Bob Rumble Centre on November 13, 2007. School was shut down for the entire day because there wouldn’t be any running water in the school. This meant there would not be water for the toilets, hand washing and the drinking fountains. This problem allowed us to get out of school for the day, which extended are 5-day weekend into a 6-day weekend. However the city was right on the breakage and fixed it within 8 hours, which meant we had school on Wednesday. The problem of the aging water mains in and around the school has been a re-occurring problem. Regardless of this none of the students are complaining.
